James Whelan Butchers is fifth generation in farming, butchering and retailing. Established in Clonmel, they’re now have retail stores in Avoca and Dunnes.

Pat Whelan approached us to develop the existing James Whelan brand assets and streamline them across their range of packs to create a uniform style that would be synominous with the premium brand that five generations of the Whelan family have created.

To that end, we refined the range of supporting illustrative assets to tell the James Whelan story visually, and applied this to a range of packaging solutions to best display his beautiful range of products instore. This ranges from a full range of kraft box and sleeve solutions, with simple illustrative execution and distinct shapes. We’ve used premium stock and beautiful finishes such as metal eyelets, hession ropes and hot foiling to properly showcase his produce, and helped source the production of same.
